GIRL GROUP

Girl Group est un collectif indie-pop basé à Liverpool, formé par cinq musiciennes rencontrées au Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Entre pop alternative, post-punk, hyperpop et énergie DIY, le groupe détourne les codes traditionnels des “girl bands” pour créer un projet entièrement pensé, écrit et produit par des femmes.

Portées par une amitié fusionnelle et une vision féministe assumée, Katya, Maria, Thea, Mia et Lil transforment leurs expériences en hymnes à la fois euphoriques, incisifs et ultra contemporains. Leur musique mêle refrains addictifs, spoken word, synthés nerveux et influences allant de Wet Leg à Charli XCX en passant par Lily Allen.

Avec leur dernier album Little Sticky Pictures, Girl Group plonge dans le chaos tendre et électrique de la féminité moderne. Entre rage pop, nostalgie Y2K, humour mordant et solidarité féminine, le groupe signe un disque aussi brut qu’addictif, porté par une énergie collective impossible à ignorer.

Girl Group are a Liverpool-based indie-pop collective formed by five musicians who met while studying at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Blending alternative pop, post-punk, hyperpop and DIY energy, the band reclaims the traditional “girl group” format through a project entirely written, produced and creatively directed by women.

Driven by friendship, sharp humour and an unapologetically feminist vision, Katya, Maria, Thea, Mia and Lil turn their shared experiences into euphoric, cutting and emotionally charged songs. Their sound combines addictive hooks, spoken word, punchy synths and influences ranging from Wet Leg and Biig Piig to Charli XCX and Lily Allen.

On their latest album Little Sticky Pictures, Girl Group dives into the tender and electric chaos of modern womanhood. Blending rage-pop energy, Y2K nostalgia, biting humour and female solidarity, the record captures the band’s raw, collaborative spirit with irresistible intensity.
