Vivre un live de Battles n’est pas, comme son nom pourrait le laisser présager, une bataille. C’est une guerre.
Une guerre des nerfs, pour survivre à la frénésie math rock du set ultra dansant des new new-yorkais. Une guerre des coudes, pour tenter de s’extraire de la masse d’une base de fans fous furieux, toujours plus nombreux. Une guerre des boutons, tant la précision du groupe fait désormais légion. Une guerre de position, tant vous n’hésiterez pas une seconde avec l’autre super groupe qui jouera en même temps.
Une guerre, où on ira bien armés. D’amour bien sûr.

Living a show of Battles is not, as their name could indicate, a real battle. It’s a real war, a war of nerves to survive to the Math Rock frenzy of the lively performence of these guys from New York. A war of elbows to try to come out from this mass of crazy fans, whose number is bigger and bigger. A war of precision, like the precision of their show. A war of position since you will not have a moment of hesitation between them and the other great band who will play at the same time. A war where we will all be armed, with love of course !
